The Carson City Board of Supervisors is accepting applications from individuals who are licensed to practice medicine in Nevada, for the consideration and possible appointment to fill the Carson City Health Officer position which serves as the Executive Officer of the Carson City Board of Health, and acts as chairman of the Carson City Board of Health.

The position is to replace the retirement of the board of health chair person.
Appointment into the position will not create an employee/employer relationship with Carson City. The individual appointed by the Board of Supervisors will be required to enter into an Independent Contractor contract with the City. The individual must have a Carson City business license.
The City will pay the cost for the individual’s professional liability insurance and DEA license for the Chempack. Worker’s compensation insurance is waived.
